Job Description:
Industry : Winery
The Vintner (Director Level) holds a key leadership position within the winemaking industry, overseeing various areas including winemaking, research and development, wine tasting, acting as a consultant, and setting up winery operations. The primary goal is to ensure the production of high-quality wines and contribute to the success of the winery.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing winemaking strategies, managing the entire process from grape selection to bottling, monitoring quality control measures, and ensuring efficient operations.
- Staying informed about industry trends and advancements, conducting research to enhance winemaking techniques and flavors, and collaborating with external experts to foster innovation.
- Conduct regular tastings to assess wine quality, flavor profiles, and balance, analyzing results, providing feedback, and making recommendations for improvements.
- Designing and establishing winery operations, including facility layout, equipment selection, workflow optimization, and developing standard operating procedures. This involves recruiting, training, and leading a team of winemakers, cellar staff, and lab technicians.

Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in winemaking, with a track record of producing high-quality wines.
- In-depth knowledge of viticulture, oenology, and winery operations.
- Proficiency in sensory evaluation and wine-tasting techniques.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality control standards.
- Fluent in English (written & spoken).
- Foreigners are welcome to apply (housing will be provided).
Placement: Bali, Indonesia (will be frequent travel to Jakarta).
