• Develop, Implement And Review Best Practices For Drilling And Blasting Activities With A Focus On Blast Optimisation, Ensuring That All Activities Are Carried Out In Strict Conformance With Company Policies
• Control And Manage The Operating Budget, Monitor Daily Performance And Report On Monthly Progress To Senior Management
• Manage All Drilling And Blasting Activities Including Explosives Magazine, Consumables And Stock Control, And Oversee Blast Optimisation With A Specific Focus On Fragmentation Improvement
• Train And Upgrade The National Workforce Through Successful Skills Transfer, Implement Ongoing Training And Development Programs For Skills And Technology Transfer And Successful Succession Planning
• Promote A Positive Safety And Environmental Management Culture, Interface With Mine, Corporate And Community Stakeholders To Ensure Successful And Safe Drilling And Blasting Operations, And Achieve The Mine Operational Drilling Plan In Compliance With The Blast Planning Ensuring Enough Materials For The Loading Activity

• Utilise a minimum of 7-10 years of Drill & Blast Drilling field experience to provide technical guidance and support to drilling teams
• Possess proven and well-developed technical skills in Drill & Blast drilling, ensuring safe and efficient drilling practices
• Demonstrate leadership in Safety, Health, Environment and Quality, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations
• Communicate effectively with clients at all levels and demonstrate the ability to empower local communities while holding cultural awareness in high regard
• Possess mechanical knowledge and be capable of using Microsoft Office suite for reporting and record keeping
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with all stakeholders
