Job Description:
- Develop And Implement Strategies For Research And Development Of New And Existing Agronomic Practices For Palm Oil Plantations
- Analyze Current And Future Trends In Agronomic Practices For Optimising Crop Yield And Quality
- Design And Implement Agronomic Experiments, Field Trials, And Soil And Crop Surveys
- Develop And Manage Agronomy Budget
- Develop And Direct Agrochemical Application And Crop Management Programs
- Monitor And Manage Plantations To Ensure Optimal Agronomic Performance
- Provide Technical Assistance And Advice To Farm Owners, Field Staff, And Other Stakeholders
- Prepare Reports, Plans And Recommendations For Management
- Develop And Maintain Relationships With Suppliers, Vendors, And Other Stakeholders In The Agronomy Industry
- Maintain Records Of Crop Production, Yield And Quality
- Develop And Implement Health And Safety Programs And Regulations For Workers In The Palm Oil Plantation
- Participate In Industry Conferences And Seminars
- Stay Current On Best Practices In The Agronomy Field
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in agronomy, biology, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in research and development in the palm oil industry
- Proven track record of successful research and development initiatives in the palm oil industry
- Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and motivate a research and development agronomy team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and other relevant software
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Knowledge of the safety, quality and environmental regulations related to the palm oil industry
- Ability to travel to various plantations and locations to oversee research and development projects
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion
