Job Description:

  • Build And Lead The Implementation Of The Functional Strategic Plan And Work With Potential Third-party Suppliers For Seed And Chip Stock Supply
  • Align With Key Agricultural Government Institutions To Facilitate Startup And Agro Programs
  • Conduct Research And Development To Assess Quality Factors And Make Suitable Decisions On Seed, Fertilizer, Variety, And Soil
  • Negotiate Commercial And Payment Terms For Potato Procurement, Both Locally And From Other Markets
  • Lead The GCS Agenda In The Agro Function, Ensuring A Strong Control Environment And Remedying Any Gaps Identified In Testing And Audits
  • Manage Agro Expansion Projects To Meet Future Needs While Maintaining Cost-effectiveness
  • Develop And Support Local Products Quality Programs And Work With Company's APAC And Global Agronomy Resources To Implement Best Practices
  • Monitor Progress And Provide Advice To Manage Potato Storage And Utilization Effectively
  • Control Contract Terms To Optimize Contract Farming And Minimize Potatoes From The Open Market
  • Maintain And Review Agro KPI's Score Card To Improve Quality And Reference Capability Year On Year
  • Liaise With External Partners To Ensure Company's Interests Are Represented
  • Coordinate With BU Agro Managers To Monitor Chipstock/seed Balances And Import Requirements, Negotiate Contracts With Third Parties, And Identify New Lower-cost Supply Options
  • Import Chipstock/seed And Other Agro Commodities, Resolve Any Contract Maintenance Issues, And Manage Communications Between Parties
  • Set Objectives And Assess Team Performance, Provide Feedback And Recognition, Coach And Develop Team Capability, And Create A Motivating Work Environment
  • Monitor Staff Turnover And Provide Action Plans To Address Any Issues

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, or a related field
  • Proven experience in the similar industry, with a minimum of 10 years experiences
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of agricultural best practices and trends
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
