Purchasing Supervisor (Mandarin Speaker)

1. Supervise and coordinate daily purchasing activities, including order placement, order tracking and delivery confirmation
2. Develop and maintain relationships with existing suppliers whilst identifying and evaluating new suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and quality standards
3. Prepare purchase orders and requisitions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures
4. Monitor inventory levels and implement effective stock management practices to minimise excess stock whilst maintaining adequate supply for production
5. Negotiate with suppliers regarding pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules and product specifications
6. Conduct regular market analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimise procurement strategies
7. Resolve supplier-related issues, including quality complaints, delivery delays and discrepancies in invoicing
8. Prepare purchasing reports and provide regular updates to senior management on procurement activities, costs and performance metrics
9. Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, industry regulations and quality standards
10. Collaborate with production, warehouse and finance departments to ensure seamless supply chain operations

1. Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity
2. Strong knowledge of purchasing procedures, supplier management and inventory control practices
3. Proven experience in supplier negotiation and contract management
4. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed procurement decisions
5. Proficiency in using procurement and inventory management software systems
6. Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with internal departments and external suppliers
7. Leadership capabilities with the ability to supervise and motivate a team
8. Excellent organisational and time management skills
9. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
10. Fluency in Mandarin
11. Knowledge of manufacturing operations and hydraulic industry is highly desirable
12. Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
