Job Description:

  • Direct And Supervise Staff In The Legal Department Achieve The Goals/ Objectives Set Out By The Group
  • Managing The Legal Exposure Of Group Companies In Indonesia, Which Involves Structuring, Drafting And Administering Legal Contracts Of A Diverse Nature
  • Facilitating In Managing Legal Exposure And Mitigating Legal Risks In Business Operations Of All Group Companies In Indonesia, Including Land Acquisition, Permits, And Stakeholder Relations
  • Assisting The Legal Advisory Unit To Operate In A Multi Jurisdiction Environment In Which The Group Operates
  • Issuing Legal Opinion On Commercial Law/Land Law Issues To The Management Of The Group
  • Lead The Legal Team In Any Corporate Action Needed For The Company
  • Drafted And Structured The Documentation For The Villager Out-growers Scheme Of The Company Coordinate With Local Counsel In Handling The Litigation Matters Of The Plantation Sector

Job Requirements:

  • Excellent understanding on corporate law, understanding in agricultural law is a plus
  • Highly experienced in corporate action matters
  • Experienced in various range of contracts, agreements, and other legal documents; control and manage the regulatory affair related with company certificates and legal documents
  • Holds a Law degree from a reputable university, a Masters degree is preferable
  • At least 8+ PQE experience in legal function at similar natural resources industry, familiarity in plantation is a plus
  • Experienced upon reporting to Board of Directors, and handling subordinates
  • Ability to navigate through regulatory barriers and strategize to find a solution to overcome such barriers, can work with minimum supervision
  • Has deep knowledge of legal aspects and contract drafting with excellent communication, negotiation, networking, management, and critical thinking skills
  • Self-motivated, with an ability to work under pressure and to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic corporate environment
  • Fluent in English, both oral and writing
